New Lucite Protective Covering in Chester, SC
|
|
In 1969, Laws Stained Glass Studio, Inc. installed opalescent glass windows with steel frames at Wilksburg Baptist Church in Chester, SC. Sometime after that, Lexan was installed over the windows as protective covering. Subsequently, the Lexan had turned yellow or milky white. In 2014, Laws returned to the church and inspected the windows. Over 40 years later, the windows were in excellent condition. Laws did remove the Lexan and install new 1/4" Lucite as protective covering.
