New Protective Covering at Belews Creek Christian Church in Belews Creek, NC

     In 2012, Laws Stained Glass Studios installed new 1/4" Lucite acrylic protective covering over the existing stained glass windows at Belews Creek Christian Church in Belews Creek, NC.  Laws installed the 1/4" Lucite over 12 sanctuary windows and a transom.  The existing opalescent glass windows were in good shape and did not require much repair work.  One broken piece of glass was replaced.  The ventilator sections had some loose putty which was replaced and repainted.  Two of the front windows, which were not leaded windows but had opalescent glass glazed into lights, received flashing over their exterior wooden frame.  The exterior of all the windows was cleaned.  The 1/4" Lucite acrylic was installed using (2) rows of 1/2" x 1/2" white aluminum stop.
